What is a work-related Injury?

A work-related injury is an illness, condition, or injury that occurs while working and is related to job duties.
What are some common work-related injuries?
  • Slip and Fall

A common injury across industries, that can happen on wet floors or in puddles

  • Repetitive motion injuries

Can occur from repetitive tasks, such as typing or working in an assembly line

  • Repetitive strain injury (RSI)

Caused by repeated use of a body part, such as the wrist, hand, or shoulder.

  • Motor vehicle accidents

A common injury for employees who drive for work, such as truck drivers, first responders, and those in the oil, gas, and mining industries

  • Overexertion

Can be caused by my improper lifting techniques, manually lifting heavy objects, or repetitive work without breaks

  • Hearing Loss

Industrial workers are often exposed to loud noises, which can cause temporary or permanent hearing loss
